On the Energy of Stringy Black Holes

چکیده
It is well-known that one of the most interesting and challenging problems of General Relativity is the energy and momentum localization. There are many attempts to evaluate the energy distribution in a general relativistic system. One of the methods used for the energy and momentum localization is the one which used the energymomentum complexes. After the Einstein work, a large number of definitions for the energy distribution was given. We mention the expressions proposed by Landau and Lifshitz, Papapetrou, Bergmann, Weinberg and Møller. The Einstein, Landau and Lifshitz, Papapetrou, Bergmann and Weinberg energy-momentum complexes are restricted to calculate the energy distribution in quasi-Cartesian coordinates. The energy-momentum complex of Møller gives the possibility to make the calculations in any coordinate system. In this paper we calculate the energy distribution of three stringy black hole solutions in the Møller prescription. The Møller energymomentum complex gives us a consistent result for these three situations. [email protected] [email protected]

Information Retention by Stringy Black Holes
Building upon our previous work on two-dimensional stringy black holes and its extension to spherically-symmetric four-dimensional stringy black holes, we show how the latter retain information. A key rôle is played by an infinite-dimensional W∞ symmetry that preserves the area of an isolated black-hole horizon and hence its entropy. The exactly-marginal conformal worldsheet operator representi...
متن کاملW ∞ algebras , Hawking radiation , and information retention by stringy black holes
We have argued previously, based on the analysis of two-dimensional stringy black holes, that information in stringy versions of four-dimensional Schwarzschild black holes (the singular regions of which are represented by appropriate Wess-Zumino-Witten models) is retained by quantumW symmetries when the horizon area is not preserved due to Hawking radiation. It is key that the exactly marginal ...
متن کاملO ct 2 00 1 Casimir Effect in 2 D Stringy Black Hole Backgrounds
We consider the two-dimensional “Schwarzschild” and “Reissner-Nordström” stringy black holes as systems of Casimir type. We explicitly calculate the energy-momentum tensor of a massless scalar field satisfying Dirichlet boundary conditions on two one-dimensional “walls”. These results are obtained using the Wald’s axioms. Thermodynamical quantities such as pressure, specific heat, isothermal co...
متن کامل2d Stringy Black Holes and Varying Constants
Motivated by the recent interest on models with varying constants and whether black hole physics can constrain such theories, two-dimensional charged stringy black holes are considered. We exploit the role of two-dimensional stringy black holes as toy models for exploring paradoxes which may lead to constrains on a theory. A two-dimensional charged stringy black hole is investigated in two diff...
متن کاملOn the Stability of a Stringy Black Hole
We study the stability under perturbations of a charged four dimensional stringy black hole arising from gauging a previously studied WZW model. We find that the black hole is stable only in the extremal case Q = M . ⋆ email addresses: vaxtov::fucito and [email protected] † Permanent address: Dipartimento di Fisica, Università di Milano, 20133 Milano, Italy and INFN, Sezione di Pavia, Via Ba...
متن کاملBlack hole, string ball, and p-brane production at hadronic supercolliders
In models of large extra dimensions, the string and Planck scales become accessible at future colliders. When the energy scale is above the string scale or Planck scale a number of interesting phenomena occur, namely, production of stringy states, pbranes, string balls, black hole, etc. In this Proceedings, we summarize a recent work [1] on the production of black holes, string balls, and p-bra...
